This wine will appeal to fans of Pouilly Fuisse at a much-reduced price. This 100% Chardonnay is complex, dry and well structured with slightly spicy, ripe lemon flavours with a very zesty lingering finish.

Subtle apple nose with a hint of vanilla. Pleasant classic white Burgundian palate of crisp green fruit, such as apples and pear with a citrus zestyness. Well-balanced acidity, with a medium length finish.

A wet winter followed by a cool moist spring resulted in vigorous healthy vine canopies which remained stress free during a mild but dry Summer. Moderate, dry weather with cool nights resulted produced healthy grapes with excellent intensity of varietal flavours. The resulting wines show great richness and high quality from a vintage that was unusually moderate and ideally suited to Chardonnay in most of South East Australia. Bouquet. Intense white peach & melon fruit with a background of nutty oak and buttery complexity. Palate. Intense peach melon fruit flavours with complex nutty oak and creamy characters. The texture is soft and silky and balanced by a fresh acid finish.

This is a wine that truly is made in the vineyard. You'll find intense aromas of grapefruit, kiwi and freshly cut grass captured in the glass. The oft-found muskiness of Sauvignon Blanc is offset by the concentrated tropical aromas and bright minerality in the wine. There's no mistaking the New World style. As you drink, an integrated, almost boastful acidity gives the wine a fresh, vibrant feel. Guava and melon linger on the palate.
