Jacob's Creek Sparkling Rose is a non-vintage, bottle fermented, sparkling wine. Made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from a variety of Australia's grape growing regions it brings together a combination of warm and cool climate characters. Being a non-vintage sparkling, complexity and consistency of style is achieved by including both current and prior vintages. Typically, the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes are harvested early in vintage when they have fresh varietal flavours and high natural acidity. The retention of natural acidity is important to the style of this wine, giving the palate a crisp and vibrant finish.

Every spring Turkey Flat select a few of their finest barrels of Shiraz to become base wines for this bottle of fermented sparkling wine. Base wines are matured in seasoned French oak hogsheads for up to three years before being tiraged in the traditional champagne method. Following this second fermentation the wine is left to mature in the bottle on lees for 10 months before disgorgement and liquoring with very old Australian vintage port ranging in age from 14 to 40 years. Very dark ruby red, subtle and complex aromas of plums, prune, cherry, blueberry pastries, panforte, dark chocolate and earth follow onto a full bodied and intensely flavoured palate. Rich yet fresh on the palate, very fine and soft tannins and lingering complex flavours. Tasting Notes: This crisply elegant multi-vintage wine dazzles with complex pear, spice and hazelnut flavors. Fresh and lightly fruity, with great finesse and depth of flavour. Equally comfortable with candlelight dinners and summer picnics, the Anderson Valley Brut is not just for toasting! It's also wonderful with egg dishes think brunch, sushi, spicy Asian food, fish and white meats with creamy sauces. Crush: Only the cuvee first pressing of 120 gallons/ton is used, gently pressed from the pulp with minimal skin contact. Fermentation: Fermented at 65F in high-grade stainless steel tanks. No malolactic fermentation, to ensure the wines age well and retain the fresh style that is one of the characteristics of Roederer wines. Reserve Wines: Special oak-aged reserve wines make up 11-15% of the final blend. En Tirage: Aged a minimum of two years on the yeast. Winemaking / Technical Notes: Roederer's winemaking style is based on ownership of its own vineyards and the addition of oak-aged reserve wines to each year's blend. Aged from one to three years, these special wines help create a multi-vintage cuvee in the traditional Roederer style, known for its body, finesse and depth of flavour. Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Brut builds on the 200-year winemaking tradition established by Champagne Louis Roederer in France. The first California sparkling wine produced by Roederer, the Anderson Valley Brut has established a reputation as one of California's premier sparklers.

Delicate partridge-eye colour due to the age on lees. This varietal wine is a perennial favourite and often sells faster than Langlois can produce it, although they never compromise on quality to release early. The flavours are of pure raspberry and blackcurrant with a freshness that leaves a good many more illustrious sparkling Rosés standing. The Crémant de Loire Appellation is among the most demanding sparkling wine appellations in France far more stringent than, for example Saumur or Vouvray Brut, for the former of which the Langlois wines would naturally qualify. Under the auspices of Bollinger, Langlois has further augmented the regulations to equal, and even exceed, those of Champagne: A majority of chalky soils, very favourable to elegant wines. Hand picking in small baskets in order to collect only the best grapes. 150 kg of grapes for 100 litres of must. A minimum maturing of 12 months in bottle. Selection of the grapes on the best terroirs of the area of Saumur. Total control of the pressing on our pneumatic press. Fermentation in small vats, allowing precise control. A minimum maturing of 24 months in bottle, or more, depending on the cuvée. 'Don't be a Scrooge and crack open a dirt-cheap pink hoping the hue will mask its faults. It won't.
